Drugs are available in every known political system...the consequences and use of the illegal kind should be determind by the majority of the Authoritative and Sane Minds.

nothing should be illegal in a democracy. Infringing upon the rights of others enjoying the same democracy should be the only exception

any way the question is wether or not some1 should have the right 2 do what they want 2 there own body, as long as they dont hurt any1 else in the process. We have the right 2 get drunk as a newt whenever we want.

To me it doesn't matter whether they are illegal or not. People have proven time and time again that if they want something they are going to get it. The United States' war on drugs is a waste of money we could be using for other things. Perhaps it would be better used for prevention through drug awareness and education.

Prohibition was lifted for a reason, I would have thought we would have come to the same conclusion about drugs and embraced the fact that laws we are incapable or unwilling to enforce aren't worth having.

Perhaps. Even so, that would be a drop in the bucket compared to the billions of dollars worth of drugs and especially cocaine brought into the US each year. Then if we add on all the other countries of the world we get a pretty good idea of just how ineffective illegal drug import prevent really is.

MDMA was origionally a prescribed drug, so other than dosage, not, it hasn't changed. It became illegal in the states due to addiction problems as a controlled substance.

Marajuana changes everyday. I can get my hands on whatever floats your boat. Cross bred. Laced. Government medical.

Mushrooms have a different chemical make up depending on what the animal whose Shyte it's grown on happened to be grazing on at the time of it's "evacuation".

The former drugs mentioned are physically addictive, and can cause people to do just about anything to get their fix.

The latter are psychologically addictive, and can be dealt with much easier when not available.

But is perfectly acceptable to have liquor stores selling alcohol - without worrying about who is gonna become an alcoholic, and send their family down the drain with their addiction. It is Legal. It is also Legal to take prescribed drugs and become addicted to them...... without the "dealer" having to suffer any consequences.
