I loved "The Giving Tree" by Silverstein...

...however, he was arrested for pedophilia, so I never read him again.

Sorry, sad but true :(

I read every book he wrote, but when that happened, a switch went off in my head. Bar closed.

Where the Wild Things Are was written by Maurice Sendak. What a great work!

Shel, unfortunately, got involved in writing poems for Playboy and Penthouse, and a year later was arrested for pedophilia.

But his books, especially "The Giving Tree" remain the cornerstones of the foundations for moral thought.
