at least you admit it which a lot of us don't! you go gf,If I judge it is not intentional and if I am called on it I normally apologize for I don't get paid for judging period sometimes people come on here and they are seemly I think is how you would put it and they put themselves out there to be judged but until I am paid I won't and if I do it is an accident, there did I cover myself?

My problem (god i'm transparent mumbling ) is that, i normally judge people as good people because i see them getting along with someone else till they violate me. Then, i send them straight to hell, for further grilling with the big boss and his loyal disciples. professor

Many of us do it from time to time. I just try to see the good wherever possible...even those people I may not agree with.

Disliking people uses too much energy...waaaaay too much.mumbling

FACT !!

When I've gone against my gut instinct it's always been a problem for me so I will continue to judge and trust my initial feeling about somebody.

I'm the same Jan... I completely trust my gut instinct when it comes to people, it saved my life when I was 9 years old and it's allowed my to go into compromising or scary situations with confidence. So many of the experiences I had while traveling involved trusting people, I met a man on the bus in PNG and wound up living with a tribe in the jungle for two weeks, but I knew I could trust him and am so happy to have had that experience!

everyone one i meet is like a blank piece paper initially, as i get to know you, your paper fills up....i look at your page, if i see too much scribble scrabble, i ball up that piece of paper, and put in in the trash... Now, there are times, when I have a sheet that has some notes and some clutter, that sheet, I may sit to the side until later.... And then, I have sheets that I keep and I add to my portfolio....

hope u got it!

I see that an extre, ely vast majority answered .."I never"
To an extent I do!
And honestly there are almost no people that don't to some point.
may come up with classifications and post a different poll tomorrow.

Just one example for now: If I see someone falling down drunk, I make the judgement that this is not a person that I want to spend time with.

Most say they dont judge.. but not a very accurate statement.cheers

This may be splitting hairs, but I consider that assessing, not judging. Judgment implies condemnation of a person for what you perceive them to be. Assessment is simply deciding if and how you will interact with a person. Or maybe that's just using good judgment. dunno

Judging is for good or bad qualities.

Like the judges of a contest... they judge how good or bad you are..

the latter as you explain it would be.. do you condem.

Bad comment.. same thing basically that you said.

but to access, condone or condem... you have to first make a judgement.

OK, A slightly better example...

Christians are the first to say that it is wrong to judge...
but are the first to judge!
they feel that being a christian is better and that your life is not full without religion... is this not a judgement?!

This judgement is why most of them are trying to convert you.

I think of judgment in the context of sentencing someone to a punishment, or deciding if they are good or bad. I can't condemn or condone anyone. I can decide how I relate to them.

And you are judging all Christians in that statement, based on your perception of some that you have met.
