Very true. Although on another site someone accused me of being on there just to find "clients" for my puppies.

Hmmm... Could it be because those other sites pay to have their ads/links here and CS is 100% free to members? Gotta' pay the bills somehow!

Dating sites can be quite effective. If it weren't for this one, my wife and I might have been years longer in finding each other. At the same time, I think it's kinda' like life; You get out of it what you put into it. And it's okay to hope for miracles, but if you walk around expecting them, or feeling like you deserve one, then it probably isn't going to happen...

Well I have two close friends who have met their partners on dating sites....one now blissfully married for the past two years and the other has been living with her partner for five.....so I never say never...although I am surprised by the amount of good friends I have met along the way.... a few who will probably remain with me throughout a lifetime I hope.......

Are dating sites effective? Probably no more than any other way of meeting. At least there's some interaction and responsiveness on websites, unlike the old "personal ads" in newspapers which were once solely for the desperate or those seeking sex.

For those living in foreign countries (e.g. me) they're invaluable. You can't go barhopping or meeting people if you don't know the first place to meet people, especially for those (hand raised ) who are ignorant of the local language.

I am also trying, but only 4 a few week! I have created a worksheet for dating sites to ceate a point-system, where so far 20 sites are included. I have paid money for one site (asianEuro.com), which was on top of the list, but still today I am waiting for confirmation, but they don't even answer ur e-mail.
Anyway, this (CS) site is one of the best, probale THE best, cause it offers many possibilities (forums, polls, picture voting), which other free sites don't have and I had here so far only one SCAMMER (in easyfindadate.com all ladies so far where scammers).
Just be patient and keep on chatting - maybe one day ...
