I think that the only way real wemon have <special friends> is simply because they are young and madly in love with a man that doesnt love them. So they figure if they screw them enough they will be together. It doesnt work that way. they only get knocked up or AIDS so the moral of the story. stick with one and us protection and you will be with whom every wants to be with you aswell. thats what real women do.

Sounds logical to me.

is that really the definition of a real woman? Or how about the idea that men, not just women are "promiscuous" because they simply cant find someone who can please/satisfy them not just emotionally, but also physically? I would dare to say FWB is more popular among men and women for the simple fact that its a security thing. You're with a person who knows your thoughts and secrets and has a better understanding than most. Especially if you both talk about sex with other people, this becomes a benefit cuz they now know how to satisfy you on a physical level. The only issue is when what i consider your "true" feelings start to emerge...and believe it or not....its mostly guys who become the attached ones...we just don't admit it...lol....

if a man does not worry about satisfying me in my physical way, than he doesnt want me enough to love me. I dont stick with people just because they now where my spot is but what is LOVEMAKING if only one person is in love and one person only gets the pleasure. On FwB- I had one of these last year for a good eight months. Trouble was, I started wanting more out of it then what it was, and when I wanted to call it all off to avoid getting myself hurt so much, he (in what I realized later was pretty messed up) talked me into sticking around for a few more months. Needless to say it got messy. Add in when he got another girl knocked up and you can see how unpretty this was getting.

I think the best and worst thing about FwB is the same thing- you're already friends with the person, which can be the hardest thing to come by, so it can get really messy as you're already vulnerable, or it can be great so long as you both feel the same way, whatever way that is.

I have to disagree, I've had two long term lovers in my life, one for two years and very recently stopped seeing one that I've been with for the past 4 years. I'm not young (48) and I was never in love with either one and never wanted anything other then a physical relationship. I was faithful in that I never slept with other men while seeing them and we each understood that if we met someone else that had the potential for a full relationship that what we shared would end.
