Some people,men and women,try to be all things......... to all people.

Never works.

it's true u know. a woman wants a man who works hard (but complains that he's never at home enough)......... she wants him to be macho so she can feel secure around him (but he also must be sensitive).......... she wants him to be great in bed (but only when she's in the mood).........she wants him to help out in the kitchen (but complains when he gets in the way all the time).........she wants him to have loads of friends (but complains when he's out with them).........she wants him to be a 'nice guy' (then gets bored and goes off for a bit of rough).........we just can't win

When I was married, I did all the laundry, most of the house cleaning, half the cooking and all of the shopping. All the home renovations, car repairs etc. Yes, I had a full time job as well. I loved it.

Maybe I'm too factual and non-impressive. I don't go out of my way to impress anyone, I just tell it like it is. That may sound boring but what you see is what you get. Faults and all!
Never had much interest in faerie tales or myths and I for one don't intend on living in one. If you're looking to get treated like a princess or a queen, either earn that right or look elsewhere. That doesn't mean that I won't treat you with the respect you deserve.
This might sound harsh but love me for who I am, not what you think I could or should be. I'm me and I doubt I'm changing anytime soon. It took me a lifetime to get this far and I don't think I'm all that bad.

Try being honest from the get go. Saves alot of time as far as I'm concerned. Do you really want to be with someone who just liked your facade?

Sorry, gotta side with the women on this one. It goes both ways. Stay true to yourself and save the headache.

Actually I do.

I wash dishes, cook and clean too. I've lived alone for a while and do all these things out of neccessity and I don't see a reason for that to change just because I meet someone. I like the way I live (most of it anyway) and hopefully I meet someone that can appreciate that as well. Obviously some things are flexible but living in a civilised manner is very important to me.
Car parts in the kitchen aside. I have a shop space at the new home.

Men have a much shorter life-span than women. Why ? Because we inherited the absurd idea that men must take up arms, as in Iraq etc. Balance on the 50th floor of a building being constructed, police our towns. And if that's not dangerous enough, we sky-dive, cliff-jump, race cars and whatever will replace our genetic want for spearing the dragon.

Really and today's reality is...that unless you are financially well off...You can't afford to only have one person work these days and raise a family too!!!!!!!

How true.... been there and the reprocusions financially were terrible!Now I am a single parent and it is still difficult. At least the kids have what they need and that is all I can do.
