I tried it satying friends with an ex
but it didnt work we would talk about other ppl we were seeing
and just get jealous of each other.
We ended up trying to give it another go,
and it was good for awhile but then
all the same issues came up that stuffed up
our realtionship in the first place.
Also if you stay intouch with an ex i dont think you
can truely move on
plus in moments of weakness it
can true into a fuck buddy
and you end up feeling guilty each time you do it
or worse jealous all over again D'oh!

so in short BEST NOT TO !

I guess it all depends, on what led to the break-up.

Look, listen and learn!

There is absolutely no problem being friends with an ex - PROVIDED YOU ALLOW AT LEAST TWO DECADES TO PASS BEFORE YOU SPEAK TO THE BITCH/BASTARD WHO SCREWED UP YOUR LIFE!

Once she/he has turned into a thingy resembling some form of vegetable life and you nolonger lust after him/her then you can be friends!

OK?

I am still friends with most of my Ex's... the only ones I have not remained friends with are the ones who were not nice to me or who breached my trust.. It's a shame when you can't be friends with someone who you used to care about.. strange feeling.. cause I am not usually one to stop caring.. just like that

wine

cheers

Thats not always true though, I have had some horrible break ups, and in the end, I am still friends with them. It was stated above that if you were friends before, why not continue to be friends after? I try and stay friends with everyone! JMO!!wave

I care deep;y about "the Ex" but there is too much disappointment,
hurt feelings, betrayal, loss of respect, and I can't get over these obstacles to ever enjoy her company again. It is better that she remain out of my life. It simply wouldn't work. Been there, tried that.

I am glad to say that i have only 2 ex's I am a complete friend too, I still call and email him asking for advice and everything is great between us. Both my other one isnt as smooth going. He wants to be my friend but i cant because of everything we were through. I loved him and he treated me like shit. I changed my number and only call him about once a month. He doesnt know where i am at or what I think about him. I love him, but he has done me wrong. Yes you can be friends with a ex as long as you dont love him anymorehandshake

If a Ex treat me like shit or cheat or lie/steal. No way! I would change my number ect. Last year Ex. Still texting me. I wouldn't. He hurt me alot. Change my number. That Ex from Surrey. We falling out in love. Both agree to stay as friends. Work that way 4 us!
