I have been married twice. My first marriage was the foolishness of two people in their early 20's. My second experience was bliss, or so I thought through 20 years. As with technology, our cultural foundation is ever changing.....how many here have divorced parents ? The thought of love everlasting has become no more than the warranty on the next car that you buy. No one is to blame, our dynamic world is speeding up, yet we place all our chips on a nostalgic collective consciousness of a time when couples married forever (whether happy or not) take a look at this site, as a measure of a dream and a wanting, despite the reality of what we already know.

All relationships end with grief and sorrow, even the one you're in when you die. (as quoted from someone else on CS, can't remember who).

Leo. All my relationships have been bliss in their own way. I guess they just didn't work out. No regrets only great experiences.

I'm a firm believer in the better to have loved and lost axiom. The hope is we always learn. And the other hope is that we get that much closer in the future.

I have no regrets - only fond memories. Check that. Most of the memories are fond.

My parents were married 43 years right up to my mother's passing last November. I always found this, in this day and age, to be a most remarkable achievement.

My parents were not divorced from each other. My father passed away last month at the ripe age of 87. My mother is 86. How long she will decide to stay around without my father, is up to her and her maker.

I have been divorced. I have felt the joy and pain of a marriage. The suffering of the end of it. The relief as well. You can take the good parts and treasure them, and hope they will live again. You take horrible moments and learn from them. It's up to us.
