I found Bonjela helped, and when they were really upset giving them a nice warm bath.

Good Luck.

Poor little thing.

The best thing that I had for mine were the teething rings that you put in the freezer. They help numb the gums and they don't get as fussy with them as they do with others. Also she may start to have a slight temperature, so be prepared and have ibuprofen on hand at the first sign of it. Or you may have a very cranky little girl on your hands.

Yep, they had those when my 21 year old was a baby. It did work.

The frozen teething rings are great. Also you can use baby ambersol or something like that. It numbs the gums too. My daugher was once cutting six teeth at once. I feel your pain. It's so hard to watch them that way. And yes, they do drool a lot. Hang in there hun.

Aaawww Teething. I remember it. laugh

From what I remember mine used to often get red cheeks.. sore bums.. a higher temp.. and sometimes poo a bit more runny than usual .. (niiiiiice)..

Oh well yeah. and would be much more crabby and cranky, laugh

As then other mummies have said.. a cold teething ring is ideal.. something she can have a good ole gnaw on to her help toooof come through. Gum gel.. Oo and a good baby- pain killer too.

rockstar, I also remember my girls teething . My girls would never use those teething rings so what I did was they sold these popsicles that had an hard plaster cover on them basically they have to bite on it but they want to bite on it because the sweet juice comming out they loved them. Also they came with vitamin c so it was a plus! My mom however used to dip her finger in brandy and then rub the brandy on my gums! Hmm maybe that is why I like it now LOL Anyway good luck and enjoy these times because before you know it she will be driving!!!!!!!!!!yuk!!

Good for you thumbs up... its hard to do it on your own hug

I am only an Aunty but have many hours babysitting under my belt.. Bonjela (medicated gel that you get in Pharmacy/Chemist) is good, also.. they seem to like chewing on things around this time.. so a teething ring may also help...

Best of luck cheers

[quote=horrorcorner]My mom however used to dip her finger in brandy and then rub the brandy on my gums!quote]

Oh, at first I felt rather stupid reading all the nice Mommy advice about medicines/teething rings ... then I came to Horrorcorner`s advice, and heaved a sigh of relief! Thats what I used to do .... when the little screaming red in the face bundle would accept no comfort, stuck a knuckle into his mouth and if he grabbed it and gnawed and drooled like a crazed dog I knew it was Teeth! ... A drop of brandy on finger rubbed into the gums did the trick.

Now they grown up men. The one enjoys his beer. The other doesn`t drink acohol at all. Whew! Wot a relief!

Teething powders work well too. My reason for the brandy was I lived out in the country and didnt have access to modern medicines - but kept brandy for medicinal use!cheers

I remember the Germans would mix honey & a bit of brandy, using a dropper, stuff it in a pacifier & set it in the freezer.
When my little fosters got toothy, we used honey & clove oil.
Another thing is to keep their mind busy... distraction is very helpful. I set up a small fish tank, turned out all the lights & let the bubbling lights & fish sooth the lil ones.
A touch of meds, a touch of love & some fishies... thumbs up

Just try to breathe & soon it will pass.
wink

Hey Rockstar!!

For both my kids (now grown up) I used to use Homeopathic bio-chemic tissue remedies called "New Era" . they have different ones for different conditions and the teething ones are brilliant. They dissolve on contact with saliva and start acting immediately ... Was the only thing that worked for my kids ... Some of their other stuff is great too.

New Era Homeopathically Prepared Biochemic Remedies For Infants Teething Pains - Combination R tissue salts

Warning
If your child is already recieving treatment for teething pains, tell your doctor you are also taking this product.

Ingredients
calcium flouride, calcium phosphate, iron phosphate, magnesium phosphate, silicon dioxide, lactose

In UK it costs about £5 for quite a large container

Good luck
here's to you for you
