Mine didn't like teeting rings either. Do you have teething rusks over there mine didn't mind those. They are like really hard dry bread sticks.

I have not heard of teething tablets sorry.

I just remembered another thing that I used to use any time that Em was cranky. There was an herb store next door to my office and the lady sold me this tiny bottle of liquid called Lobelia. Rub a few drops on the back of her neck and it would calm her right down. It was the most amazing stuff. I bought the first bottle when she was 3 months old and may have bought another somewhere along the way but it that bottle or 2 lasted through the toddler years.

She's 12 now. Almost a teenager. Maybe I should get some more. uh oh!

Good luck, hun. Hope she's doing better today!

Yes they work. With my son I used tylenol not a lot but it helped. He has his molars coming in now.

They make this stuff called Numz it and it comes in Cherry flavor , just put a little on your finger tip (wash hands first) and rub it onto the little ones gums.
It is a temp fix, teething rings are also available which you pop into the freezer and let them gum on those as well.

Chaz

i didnt give my son meds for teething really, i'd go with the pedialyte pop cycles.... put it in her bottle, dont let her suck on the plastic, and just give her half. This is better during the day, not for if you are trying to put her asleep....

If you want her to sleep, or at night, you give her a warm bottle, and then, a cold teething ring (for my son, the bottle worked) or pacifier, and rub her back as she lay on your chest. Listening to something as simple as your heart beat will sooth her more than meds...

I used to freeze a wet clean washcloth in the freezer and let my son chew on that. He loved it.
Also frozen bananas are great to gum :)

Aaawww Teething. I remember it.

From what I remember mine used to often get red cheeks.. sore bums.. a higher temp.. and sometimes poo a bit more runny than usual .. (niiiiiice)..

Oh well yeah. and would be much more crabby and cranky,

As then other mummies have said.. a cold teething ring is ideal.. something she can have a good ole gnaw on to her help toooof come through. Gum gel.. Oo and a good baby- pain killer too.

Claayer....too much information!!!!!help dunno

Oh yes, almost forgot about the bananas:

Bananas can act as mood enhancers or mild sedatives: Bananas contain tryptophan (although it’s not one of the major sources, a medium still contains about 10.6 mg of tryptophan). Tryptophan is one of the 20 amino acids which are building blocks of proteins. Tryptophan helps the body to produce serotonin - which has a calming effect on the brain (creates a stable mood) and acts as a mild sedative.

Maybe that's why I've always heard them used a starter foods for young children!
