Have only truly loved one man in my life, when I think of him it is the pain of losing him that I remember a pain so strong that I phsysically ached at times and struggled to breath. It took my 2 years to even begin to laugh again, so no for me it is not better to have loved and lost. I would rather not have loved than to have gone through that.

It depends on how long the break has been. Now, I am happy that I have experienced love. I have learned a lot of lessons, and have some wonderful memories.

If however, I have just come out of a relationship. I wish that I had not even heard of this word!

Deep Dark Secrets
At school, a boy is told by a classmate that most adults are hiding at least one dark secret, and that this makes it very easy to blackmail them by saying, "I know the whole truth" even when you don't know anything.

The boy decides to go home and try it out. As he is greeted by his mother at the front door he says, "I know the whole truth." His mother quickly hands him $20 and says, "Just don't tell your father."

Quite pleased, the boy waits for his father to get home from work, and greets him with, "I know the whole truth." The father promptly hands him $40 and says, "Please don't say a word to your mother."

Very pleased, the boy is on his way to school the next day, when he sees the mailman at his front door. The boy greets him by saying, "I know the whole truth."

The mailman drops the mail, opens his arms and says, "Then come give your FATHER a big hug!"

For the three most important ladies in my life who gave me the gift to enjoy....while it lasted.

And would do so again if it occurs.

Once one has loved, it is impossible to have lost. On the other hand, one that hides behind a computer screen day after day, week after week, month after month..sigh

"Love" is found in real life, in the willingness to risk..wink To love, is to "risk" not being loved in return.

I think it's definitely worth it, to have that great experience, rather than never having it. I do believe that the pain it causes though is a reason why so many people are hesitant to go through it again....which is a shame really.....I'm not a gambler with my money, but I am with my emotions as I know the reward can be so great. It kind of reminds me of people and dogs - how many times have you heard someone say 'I'm never going to get another dog, losing him/her was the toughest thing I've ever done'.......yet, most of us DO get that other dog and love them just as much. So, nothing ventured, nothing gained....

I don't even consider each love that has ended to be a loss.

Each person who has been in my life has been a life lesson.

dunno
