Best way of liberating people isnt to call in an airstrike in a populated area resulting in god knows how many civilian casualties.

You cant even quantify the injured or dead, there all simply unknown.....

If i hear one more idiot say learn our lessons in regard to this or another cocked up military campaign instigated by rotten corrupt imcompetant politicians i will loose my temper.

Next time a politician tells you anything, just call him or her a liar...as they are a professional liar by profession and i have nothing but contempt for all of them.

The military doesn't go to war....Parliament sends them from the Uk and the Senate sends from the States.Implication...there to blame not the military...except the ones who are trigger happy and incompetent.

We sure do, and guess what, my grandfather chose to be in the Army, my Father chose to be in the Navy, my brother in laws chose to be inthe Marines, and my Uncles chose to be in a branch of military as well. To protect their families, not to kill people. Just happens that the ones still serving today have to serve under a horrible and evil man who wanted to creat a war and total destruction... They chose their job because it used to be a very respectable thing for a young man to be in our military, and they have already made a career out of it. They dont know other job skills, and they have their contracts to deal with. It is not as easy as an outsider looking in might think. A lot of our young soldiers dont know anybetter. You wouldnt believe the ways they are getting suckered in...promises that they will never have to leave their country, only to find out that after they sigh they will indeed have to deploy...

whatever, its all just stupid, and should never have happened, but I love my family and respect them very much for what they are doing-before you shi* your pants, i have already stated that they are not killing anyone!! They are trying to be a part of the solution!!

i agree, I thought the thread was about should we cut and run now that we have destroyed a nation, thats what pissed me off, but now i have pissed off a lot more people for saying anything... open mouth insert foot!! I still dont think we should leave the nation as it is to try and pull itself back together since a lot of the population has been killed or wounded and probably would have one hell of a time trying to pull themselves back together without assistance!

You do great casie.......I think you should consider being a strong part of antiwar movement in America and telling those damn politicians what have they been part of for tousands of families all over America!

Supporting the tropps is understandable but I am sure they will be best supported if some body takes them out of that Hell fast as possible ! I hate seeing young people die or getting menthally ill or loosing body parts for not a damn thing .......and I hate the fact that the same soldiers are the reason many iraqis ......around at least 200 times more in number suffering the same!

Be sure ....there is not many iraqis over there whom not getting any thing....any help at all in compensation for what they have been experiencing! They are just all leaved to them selves and no body helps them with nothing! Ok, agreed, if we pay them a proper compensation, then I suppose that would do, I just dont want to see our troops pull out and leave and not help them at all. I am sure the guns are the big issue, I know i would be scared if i saw someone with a gun coming toward me and my family, and would probably react the same way as the people there do by getting their guns....

I am sure there are people who are willing to go as civilians and help them rebuild their country, now if we could just get that started!! But, we should all know by now that this wont happen until Bush is out of office. And then the people there are going to think much like the people on this thread have and assume that we are all the same and that we all wanted this war, so then what happens? I think you're spot on and I really appreciate your comments but I also think Oslo has some good points.

From my own perspective I can say that you have hit on some of my beliefs and reasons for entering the service. I was a volunteer and I knew what the consequences could be. Shoot, after a good Rambo movie I might have even joked about the prospect of war but in reality, I always hoped there would be no wars. Unfortunately, war has come to us and though I appreciate the support received by most I'm smart enough to not expect it from all.

In the past 28 years I have been involved in peacekeeping operations, 2 gulf wars, 13 years of OEF & OIF and several humanatarian relief efforts. I have been shot at and I have shot at others. I only mention this because these were things I would not have chosen to do. Rather they were things I promised I would do and that my fellow Soldiers, Sailors Arimen and Marines counted on me to do. I think a majority of those serving are like me. It's not about glory, war, winning medals, etc.. it's about doing what you believe to be right and taking care of your own in the process.

Well in todays day and age they are so desparate for soldiers that they are going into our high schools and having our teenagers sighn up for the military before they even graduate high school, so are you trying to say that our teenagers are stupid for believeing that our government is there to help them?? Um excuse me, but I never would have thought that our own government would have been out to sucker me in to a war when I was 17 years old!! But hey maybe your teenagers are above and beyone their age levels. I would never expect a teenager to fully understand what it going on, especially when they have sergents in there telling them how easy it is to be in the military, not to mention flashing that 10-20,000 sign on bonus in their face, and the poor of our country jump right on that so they can give the money to their families to get them out of debt.

SO yeah I am saying that in this day in age people can scam young kids really, sure am...

Did I not just write that I have devoted the past 3 years of my life to going to school so that I might in some way be a part of the solution- excuse me let me clarify that for you, the solution being the rebuilding and rehabilitation of a nation that was wrongly destroyed... Did I not mention that myself and my father are doing everything in our power to help out as many as we possibly can there??

What have you done? Have you spent your money to buy items that they need, have you sent clothes? toothbrushes? hairbrushes? shampoos? soaps? Have you spent hours packing boxes and filling out customs forms? Have you adopted two families and sent them money every month to try and give them a chance to provide for their children?? Who the hell are you to be a bitc* to me?? I have made it perfectly clear that I dont support this war and would like nothing more than to see these people back ontheir feet in a rebuilt nation. But no I will not back down off of supporting our military!! I would much rather support them coming home than staying there, but until that day comes, I will support them being over there and trying to do as they are told. And you nor anyone else is going to make me change my mind about that!!
