Met a few people that need a suntan, a few witches, a lot of unexplained questions, no fairies that do my housework and the only spirit I meet is the occassional shot glass type.

I've posted on this before... I do believe in some sort of conscious energy, or ghost for lack of a better term. I grew up with one... he was a constant part of our lives, was quite mischieveous and a very noticeable presence, so much so that we even named him. "Alfi "enjoyed moving things around, making noises like furniture being dragged around and you would frequently catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of your eye. I found it kind of comforting when I was home alone, that he was there with me and kind of miss him now.

I haven't, but a friend of mine says that her grandmother still shows up in the house that was hers and that she died in. Her sister also swears that when grannie doesn't like what someone is doing there, she bangs the kitchen cabinets.

I do believe, Patrick, that there are spirits still in this realm. I just haven't really encountered any ghosts.

However, I do feel my mothers presence at times.

Oh WOW!! We (my daughter and I) always think of mum showing herself to us in funny ways around here. Just little things. We have smelled her perfume, but never heard her voice, though I would love to hear her voice again, even if it was angry.

I understand what you mean that the smell of her perfume is calming. My daughter practically melts when she smells moms perfume.

We just lost mom 16 months ago. And she lived with us, so it's still an adjustment even after all of this time.

Yes, it is. I understand how you feel. I felt like no one else understood. Not in my family anyway. A week later they were already back to there normal lives, but our normal didn't exist anymore. We had to create a new one. I still can hardly look at her pictures.

I'm sorry. Patrick. I feel like we're hijacking your thread. We've gotten away from ghosts and spirits a bit. uh oh!

Maybe if you joined us with your own thoughts on the subject we could bring it back around.
