It makes me wonder why so many new posters seem to be disheartened or driven off the forums. There have been threads offlate to discuss and make the point and some of them have been so warm and encouraging for new members.
Many a times it must be cos of us but other times it must be them ..


* I wonder if we are expecting too much of " forum etiquette "
from people? What do you think ?

* Is it up to us to make people feel welcome and make them feel
comfortable or is it up to them to mix and join in the threads ?

* Do you think people resort to rude posting time and again to get
noticed or make a point ( new or old anyone )?

* Keeping in mind this is a dating site , are we many a times way off
track making it boring for people actually looking for a partner ?


* Is this an issue to even think about at all ? If yes, what can be done
about it ??

For a few moments this was to find a way to add new voices to the discussions here. I know now that dissension will add nothing. Its not necessary for me to find faults as noted by some who took this to a personal level.
How many others on a given day piped in to only be blown away for being too critical and approached this from the wrong direction. I now have a personal email telling me that I have now been reported as offensive. Everyday life has its challenges.

The thread did turn into idle chit chat among regular posters.
I thought the say something threads were more about talking nonsense to someone or no one.
