Hey Gilly. I like Pacino, DeNiro, and Brando. They have a proven track record. Forget Tom Cruise. He's like Keanu Reeves. No Talent, Just a "LOOK". As far as "White Male Actors" are concerned, I prefer Clint Eastwood. (He Also Plays Piano and loves Jazz).

You know, Brando did some amazing work, and also some really mediocre work.

In contrast, I think De Niro has probably never put a foot wrong. I've never seen him less than brilliant.

Pacino - yeah, he's great, but I think De Niro is better.

Cruise - well, some of his stuff frankly sucks. But then you see him in something like Magnolia, and he's so very, very good that you wonder whether it was the same guy in the sucky films.

So I guess I'm challenging whether they really are 'the best white male actors that ever lived'.

Nah, Gilly, you're oversimplifying Tom Cruise. Think about him in Magnolia, fourth of july, jerry maguire... subtle complex performances.
