today I was watching the news. a rare thing for me. this clip came on of several teen girls beating one of thier peers this got me to thinking about human natrure. why is it that some of us can be the most relaxed and easy going of people and then others have to reswort to violence to solve there problems. now I know it has some to do with upbringing but I think that it goes deeper than that. there is only one thing in this world that would make me resort to violence. hurting the ones I love.

Where i live its now becoming very common seeing young girls drunk and aggressive..i witnessed it myself a couple of weeks ago..the oldest girl about 14yrs old...we also have this territory gang culture with our youngies..the kids say they have nothing else to do and they look forward to their cheap drink and fighting at weekends.more folks turn a blind eye now believing that the police dont do anything..some folks afraid to leave their homes at night...i believe that there are numerous reasons for this behaviour..

It is very different here, i think it is to do with the culture and values. there is still crime but you don't hear of old ladies getting mugged, or kids getting knifed at school . I can go out at night and don't feel threatened. But i believe there deterants are harsh. Also they still have to do 15 months national service in the army, maybe that plays a part too.

I don't understand it either slim. Where I live people are very angry because they are loosing their homes and jobs. I think that may have a lot to do with it. It is very sad.

I think it has alot of factors...Stress can make the most meek person react in ways that are contrary to their nature. Some people on the other hand have a nature that is provoking and their main goal is power. Alot of times it is the environment they live in or were brought up in.

I personally think that it has to do with the temperments they were born with. This world will always have it's predators and it's prey and those who just react to survive...dunno

i think in ireland it has alot to do with alot of gangs starting to build up, and to do this sort of shit is seen as cool these days?? plus the prison sentances over here are a joke man, like some 18 year old guy could stab a fella and kill him in cold blood, get sent to jail for whatever length, and he is in paradise, fuckin 5 course meal, single cell, flat screen tv, gym... frustrated

If we returned to "hard labor" in prisons, I doubt they'd fill up so fast. dunno

People have rage because the hate themselves and their lives....for the most part.
Immature individuals are more inclined to react with rage over little things.
That is all

A lot of it is frustration, No decent role models in our Government leadership. Not enough in the way of outlets, Skate parks etc. Certainly the natural movement away from religious teachings has not been replaced with proper education. Parents not spending enough time with their kids. The list goes on.

I believe that violence becomes more prevalent when exposure to it becomes more frequent. This seems to increase its social acceptance and does not penalize its propagators, neither legally nor morally.

The general populace becomes hardened to it and tends to ignore rather than abhor it.

dunno

Such is the case out here i would think. Though a lot of factors play a role .. it is one such situation where the more you watch the effect sort of is numbing.

sigh

I would partly agree to that too. A lot of visual acceptance of such behavior and use of certain language ahh plus the cool quotient .
