You need to read thru the whole thread. If a marine asks for something to be doneand its not done because people dont believe him? What do u call dissing? they have done it many times on here.I was addressing the poster.I agree we have been in the war to long, its tearing America apart. But your own country fought for yrs in a religious war,Thats never been put on here for debate so Americans could tell u how stupid it was.So please do us the same favor and stop railing at our Goverment and the American people.

Our "Religious" War (Was never about Religion as you call it was over before CS existed and if it was still on I would be the first to Post it on here and see how different people felt about it.

The same War was solved by peaceful means not by Guns and Bombs. That is why people like myself are so adamant that violent conflict does not work in all situations, if any nowadays.

The Wars that the Americans start effect us all in this World and it not enough to watch from a distance and say or do nothing. That this War should tear America apart may be sad but very necessary in order to avoid this type of Invasion again.

There are over 1,000,000 people dead in Iraq, and still counting. This has to be understood, and the responsibility for this taken by the American people.

Unless this lesson is learned then we will in ten years time be discussing yet another Invasion by America.

If my criticism of your Countries politics upsets you, then I have succeeded in touching a nerve in you, and that is exactly my intent.

I will for the rest of my life keep a very close eye on American foreign policy, and will do whatever I can with peaceful means to influence that policy, even to the slightest degree.

My point is, it did happen in your country, and could happen again. So my question is why is it no one keeps an eye on their own country and stop bashing ours?A lot of Americans are hurting right now and need compassion.Ive found in life you usually get what you give.So i try and have compassion on the people of other countries who are in trouble.wave

Everyone is always protecting Bush by saying "you can't blame him for the problems." It doesn't matter if he is to blame or not he won't admit a mistake. I don't think we are even blaming but want to see accountability for what many perceive as very unwise decisions. I wish his psyche would stop just giving him happy pills and help him realize that mistakes are for learning from and it is okay to change the course. Too much?

Cherokee....I think that is absolutely fair. There are many bad things and bad countries.

I should say though that most of these threads start (like this one) with someone saying "Rally round OUR boys and pray for them in their noble fight etc etc" and this attracts a lot of responses (some better than others) which point out that most of the world is unhappy with the Iraq invasion and don't believe it is legal. A lot of Americans feel that way too. I don't think America is blamed for everything. I certainly don't feel that way. I do, however, expect high standards from those who claim to lead the world. I suspect we share that view!

Most of the people that are over there just following orders on what to do.Trust me I gave them and have to follow them. But I agree that America just should not be to blame even though we were the first to go and invade Iraq other countries did follow.

God Bless to those who are over there now or know of people that are over there. cheers

The pope is as bad as the Muslim extremists in my opinion. I care not what he has to say about this wonderful country of mine. He can stay in his gold palace, far away from the problems of the world. As far as I can tell, he causes more problems than he solves. No condoms, no birth control of any kind in Africa. How helpful.

I guess what I'm saying is that his opinion on whether we are the hope for the world would carry a bit more weight with me if he was more engaged in the world around him as it is, not as he wants it to be.

Oh yeah, Marines don't fight for my freedom in Iraq.laugh

I've heard all kinds of wild numbers thrown out. Usually the more liberal the poster or even "talking heads" on tv, the higher the number. I wonder if that includes the people Sadam murdered?

dunno

I think it should be illegal to harbor terrorist too, but no one's made it illegal...so it's a moot point. Just like it being an "illegal" war... a rather moot point.

God bless everyone who is over there for they are all suffering through their own battles! Weather any of us like it or not, the situation is there, and for now, there is not a lot that any of us can do about it. I have a lot of respect for our AMERICAN soldiers who are over there serving under their commander in chief- who is not the greatest, I think we can all agree on that! I also have a lot of sympathy for the Iraqis who are stuck there while this is going on! I for one will just pray that this is all over soon so that the entire world can get over all of this, and our AMERICAN soldiers can return home to their families!
