Hi........I have seen some Jokes here ( in Jokes & Humor Section ) on tech suport .. I liked them very much...........are there any one working for Contact centers or talked to some one at a contact center......

I work for a contact center here in India, and the whole concept of contact center is new here, I haven't done any other jobs before joining contact centers and people here hate these jobs calling them Mundane /boring jobs and also as we are required to work during nights ( to talk to US Customers......coz most of the Most of Customer Care jobs are from US Companys , requiring Us to talk to Customers in USA) ......

what I want to know here is what difference between working for a( Company say)bank at a bank and working for a bank at a contact center.......

I have worked for a Bank , for an Online Retail Store ( which also ahppens to be the worlds largest store) for a satellite television company Located in Usa ......where my job responsibilities were to talk to customers to whom the bank issued credits cards:

We used to ( say for the Bank, I worked for ):

Issue new cards/ Close accounts( if the customer wanted to) accept payments ( credit card bills ) etc etc....... Is there any differnce in what a clerk does at a bank and an associate does at a call center?

And also a good number of Contact centers ( for US companys, ) are located here , we speak to a lot of American Customers everynight here......
