A terrible car wreck that cracked my skull, crushed my ribs and busted various other things was pretty spooky for me...

Watching my 3yr old son fall (in a somersault) off a cliff and land on giant boulders. (He lived amazingly.. after hospital etc)

But that was the MOST terrifying personal thing I've seen.

That would have hurt me beyond repair. Hate to see anything happen to kids.

Mine was when my son was about 1 month old and I was sooooooooo afraid of crib death and I checked in on him every ten minutes and I went in and couldn't hear him breathing and turned on the light and he was turning blue. I was 18 and all I could do was yank him ot of the crib and hold him upside down nd almost killed him pounding on his back until one hell of a bunch of flem started coming out of his mouth an nose. I (well me and my mother) took him to the hospital and the doctor told me I did the right thing because he could have died. Then I fainted. He is now 34 but I will never forget that one.

My 21st birthday, watching 21 of my mates die before my eyes....and thinking that if I had not just stopped for a hamburger, I would have been there too.

This happened in Hyifa, Israel, dec 21st 1990.

USS Saratoga....

I think that if anyone knew just how scary having kids can be in times like those, they'd think more about having them. Motherhood can be terrifying.
