Many Americans are of an Irish ancestry in America. For such an obscure regarded culture...look at all the influence now and through their own character they are an indebted part of America. A good example of working themselves from the bottom up to provide for their future generation. ...Of course you have to include the English. ..but...after finding out that much of the English people were actually people that were driven out of their own and forced to change their name and identity for England.
Not all forgot their roots. I am an American but I can sense from my own family that the deep rooted ancestry stays in their blood. We can trace it back to the earliest of Ireland but they found England but the origin is Irish. They made people change their names(after they drove them out of their land) to sound more English, otherwise they would be subjected to penalty. They became Englishized but never forgot their roots and then they said we are getting the frock out of this smothering land...lol

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

i have found it.....I do think that the irish living abroad have more of appreication of their heritage than those living here.....I find no matter what part of the world you could be in, when you meet someone and tell them you are from Ireland they can tell you where their great great grandmother or father is from.....I can only say where my grand parents are from.......sorry once again if i offended you....hug

The "cliqwue" appeared to be when my post was totally lost without comment until I brought it up..... that is generallly called a clique.

I am not trying to start crap. I like this thread and was just trying to give yoy some inight on Irish Americans. I am one of them too.

Before my mother or brother ever went into geneology I heard my "Reynolds" family was "IRISH!" According to geneology it is English. If you look further back it is very Irish.

I love the Irish and understand them too...eh?...see...I can do Canadian too!...rolling eyes blushing blues
