Very well thank you. Maybe we should back into English though or we'll loose everyone (plus my Welsh is very limited !)

Oh I love Ireland and a hundred times more since the Dublin trip in Jan - and Nualas scones are what'll get me there before long grin

The time before that, my daughter and I flew into Dublin and drove down to Cork to meet some friends she had met in Australia. We ended up in a pub on the castle walls (reputedly the oldest in Cork, just by the guarda station if anybody knows it) and were treated like family.

The next day we went to Blarney Castle where I was amazed and saddened by what people had endured during the potato famine and the poverty of those times - but its not soured the people and a friendlier lot I have yet to meet.

We just had to drive by Tipperary cos we were both singing our heads off by this time and we loved all the cheerfully painted houses all over Ireland.

We then drove right up to the Giants Causeway where our journey almost ended prematurely, there was a landslide about 60 seconds ahead of us and they closed off the road that day - but not before we very nervously walked past the landslide and got to see the causeway - we caught the bus back up and it was the last one they were going to run for the day - very scarry.

The next day we were into Belfast for a Jackson Browne concert grin and the day after that it was passing through Dublin for the flight home - so the trip in Jan just gone where I not only got to meet lots of you lovely folks but also to spend time looking round Dublin was a dream come true - even though I did miss the book of Kells - haha, it just means I'll be back all the sooner.

Nice one Mair, I will get there one day - I lived in Weston Super Mare for a while once and went over to Cardiff a couple of times - I love the Welsh hills - in my teens, a bunch of us used to go to an old uninhabited coastal village and sing songs around a campfire sort of thing - happy memories thumbs up wave

Come on down Aries soon. Am leading a group on a hike through the Burren hills nearby tomorrow - a genuine get-high on nature day.
