Would You date A Musician?

I think it's good to have a passionate interest like music, but to choose 'between'

music and a person you love or who loves you... (?).

Why not consider moderation in that great interest and have the

opportunity to enjoy both.

(My second husband was a musician.)

Thank You for your reply. I can deal, (And Have Dealt), with being a Musician AND a "Significant Other" Simultaneously as well. Moderation is similar to Complacency. If You are going to do anything as a CAREER, Do It All the Way OR.......

Do it as a "Hobby". Nothing wrong with that. Music can be enjoyable at ANY Level. For me, Music Is My Life, Which Makes Me The Extreme Exception to the Rule. Again, Thanks For Your Reply.

My Ex-Wife, (Just ONE), was not a professional Musician, But always WISHED, (Like Most "Wishers") that she didn't quit her Piano Lessons.

Thanks For Your Reply. I also come from a Musical Background as well. My Father Played Alto Sax Professionally for Over 30 Years. Whatever talent I have has been genetically passed down to me; (Thank You Lord).

laugh.. genetically I couldn't escape my love of music if I wanted to.. my brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins (more than one generation) on BOTH sides of the family are musical... I am the only one who CANT play an instrument though blues... though I do like to sing...

Ever hear of the 'Clancy Brothers' my grand uncles... they were fairly big in America in the 60's 70's and although most have passed.. Liam Clancy is still going strong at 72 laugh

cheers

The Clancy Name is DEFINITELY Familiar. I wish I could Sing. I am the Ultimate Musical Irony. I couldn't sing to save my life, YET........

I was Born with Perfect Pitch. My Teacher discovered this God Given gift When I was 7. Double Edged Sword however. I learn songs easier by simply listening, (The Good Part), But My Sight Reading is Absolutely Non-Existent. I'll take a Good Ear over Sight Reading Any Day Though.

Yes having a good ear is more organic.. so it allows for more creativity and individual expression.. if you approach music clinically and mathematically..u will get a clinical and mathematical result.. all the best musicians have the ear wink cheers

I can now do wateva I like on a guitar but no longer hear the music. Has anyone had this prob and what did you do to get over it.confused

Being a musician myself, I’ve understood by now, that my partner has to be a musician also. “We” understand each other. Other people have difficulty understanding “us”hug
