One problem with this poll is that you've set it up as a definition: "God is __________"

God, for example, is a concept, a religious archetype, a myth, a being with certain characteristics, etc. (much as we'd define a unicorn, for instance).

I think what you meant was: "Do you believe that God is..."? At least I think that comes closer to what you're getting at, Al.

Yes, not mine but yours as I perceive it since you called me mr chopra. It seemed kinda sarcastic. So that was my reasoning.

My thoughts are stable and sound fyi....

I mean what I say and say what I mean....from my heart. Seek for clarification and it will come. I feel that I cannot clarify what it is that you want in a justifiable manner in a forum or with lengthy posts.

That is all Bnatural, I do really enjoy your thoughts and this discussion. You are a slippery one.

cheers and some would appreciate being aligned with mr chopra, not sarcasm but respect as it were ... hmmm I meant no offense, only that your words mirrored what I have read of his ... oh oh ... is that worse to be told? uh oh!

slippery ... sticking out tongue perception is the reality we live in.

BTW I was appreciating your contributions as well. I just like to question where people are going or what they mean, listening as I do.

peace

If we either of us gave credence to religion, you are probably correct.

Trying to dissect spirituality is a little like putting the aurora borealis under a microscope. Lights and mirrors, with a hint of smoke on the sidelines.

There is eternal beauty in ambiguity and a freedom in not really caring what the answer is because I have no need to be right.

I have faith. Not in anything or anyone. It just is, and has been central to my being for a while. When I was a teenager I looked for something to attach the faith to. Now I just shrug and let it sustain me without defining me.

Usually keeps me out of arguments (not always ) lets me string the moments of my life like pearls.

I can add nothing to that perfect answer grin thumbs up

oh no!!! you could have told me this before the poll!! laugh actually I am more interested in what people "think", rather than believe Jeff. Since 'belief' is a close minded stance and 'thinking' has the ability to change stance in light of new input.

cheers

Ooooh, I like that.... applause
Hi StressFree wave
But I've heard people say the astral level (that most of us go to when we die)directly above this one is actually worse in many ways.... apparently there is rampant deceipt and confusion there.... even more than here.

Hi breezee....don't believe everything you hear sweetheart. Regarding what you heard about the astral plane that we go to after we die, that can be true depending on the individuals Karma....it can be proven scientifically.... some day. And astral planes do not work in ascending or descending orders....

Hi Alwave missed you!!

The missing is very real!!
I believe we miss the time when we were one.
I believe we come from a god source and that the separation still pains us. I believe it is our destiny to be together (go back home) one day, at the end of our travels....

karma (getting back what you do to others/deserve) contradicts your earlier statement (quoted below) ..unless of course you think you deserve karma?

In response to:
Seems like God, the Force, the generating power plant of All That Is, known by many names, is also curiosity. Curiosity is an incredible force. So when you take the most powerful force that is, and use just part of it, that curiosity is capable of manifesting in physical form anything that the force puts its attention on. So therefore you have a myriad of lifeforms, because the God Force is a very curious force. And the fact of thought at all, thinking of anything, takes it to manifestation. The thought creates, and we are one of many, many, many thoughts.

confused hmmm disabling karmic thoughts disables karma?

I'll start a thread on Karma someday to clear this up. I have a feeling our definitions differ....it's not all about getting back what you do to others.

That little paragraph I threw up there were not my words, I just wanted to see how you would respond. dunno
