For some, without a doubt, its about egos. But there are many that enjoy the inter-action as one can gather different views, perhaps even gain a different perspective on certain topics.... its often an education. That's not to say there won't be the occasional argument, just as with anywhere.
There are those who pop in from time to time to have a lark about and those for whom it may be considered a life-line. There is such a diverse mix and I think that's a good thing.
Many have found support, a few laughs and the odd soap-box that most of us need from time to time. I have made some fabulous friends!!
