A few of us are getting together to enjoy the sunshine, the coast and the breath-taking views. Of course, great food, the wine will be flowing and there is plenty to do and see in the area. Whether you make it a week or just a long weekend, we would be delighted if you could join us.......

Here are details of accommodation, places to visit and nightlife, shopping, etc:

The weather should be still great at that time of year as Sorrento is very south, flights take approx. 2.5 hrs from the UK and fly into Naples (NAP). Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius can be reached easily within half an hour by train. The Island of Capri is accessible via ferry/hydrofoil at between 20-40 mins. And there is much more besides......

Hey Rose and everyonewave

I posted a note here weeks ago, greatly disappointed that I would just miss you guys as I am in Italy 7-30 Sept. Are any of you going to be there around mid Sept? I have things I have to attend to and spend time with some relie's, but if some of you are there anyway, could be nice to catch up. Would love to hear from some of you. applause

Yes, it is a fab part of the world. I was born in that region. My fourth time back to visit, but unfortunately way too short this time. Yes, it would be nice if I manage to catch with some of the others, lol

You will have a terrific time. Look forward to hearing all your stories when you get back!

I had thought of starting a new thread asking if any CS's will be in Italy around that time, but I hesitate doing that outrightly, as I fear my intentions might be misconstrued by some Italian CS's, scold I've already been contacted by some wanting to show me 'nirvana', if you know what I mean dunno

If its clear and concise, I don't see the problem. But then I wouldn't....

Yes, I do know what you mean, love..... even with the most simplistic and comprehensive explanations, some....... well, induce sighs of despair, let's say, yes!!
sigh

You should be okay with the Italian men though, hun..... to them "No" is just that......"No"!!

I do agree with your comment about Italian men in person in Italy. Yes, in the past I have found them to be completely respectful of women, and 'no' does mean just that. My concerns relate to the online forum, but naturally this involves only the very minority out there. I agree with you, and I think I shall refrain from posting elsewhere.thumbs up bouquet of flowers
