wax
comes,
crescent
thickening.
changes shape each day
a ripening that fills the sky
with lambent beams that turn Apollo’s gold to silver

night wraps soft arms around the maiden become mother
tides shift, moon swells, dims all the stars
to just a twinkle
in the sky
waiting;
moon
wanes.

I love the way you have reflected the words in the shape. It was so lovely to see the piece as i read it. You are amazingly gifted.

This is one of the few formal structures I use, known fondly as fibs , using the fibonacci number sequence basically 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13 and so on. i usually stop after seven lines and work back or it gets terrifically unwieldyrolling on the floor laughing

I'm a fan of form poetry and have been trying some variations of it for a few years now. I haven't come across this particular one but will try it one of these days just as an exercise. It's really effective.
