I couldn't agree more walk, ride a bike, carpool. There are so many ways we could save money. Not just in the initial expense either. The less we use the less the demand the lower the price. I mean these were all things people did as I was growing up. Then the mid 90's crept up gas dropped about 40 cents a gallon the economy was good and everyone decided F#ck it I'm making good money gas is cheap I'll buy that big truck I've always wanted and replace the wifes minivan that gets 25MPG with an SUV that gets 15MPG.

We made our own bed so now it's time to lie in it. I don't like it but I would rather do what I can to limit my consumption than just wait on someone else to do it for me.

Even getting a vehicle that gets 25 mpg when you're used to a 15 mpg vehicle can alleviate some of the pain.

Well we had better suck it up, it's going to get worse. While we are at it, lets get Hillary and Obama to open up the NAFTA agreements so we can pay more. Apparently there are some good deals in there for the US for purchasing cheaper energy.

Free trade is between the U.S., Canada and Mexico...and like Obama pointed out many months ago, the government isn't implementing NAFTA correctly. Apparently there are rules that they aren't following. had they followed the guidelines and done it the way it was supposed to be done, it might have been an altogether different beast.
