the interesting matter is I beleive.....there is a real differnet between black ways of frustration and white ways of frustration. I beleive black or coloured or any body whom meet discrimination in their daily lives and know ot from what they have bene told from their parents or grand parents generally knowing much better whom being angry at and whom they must support!
they know if Obama becomes the president the situation of discrimination will be taken care of much more serious than it has been in years. there is a real need for harder punishments a bout discrimination from white toward blacks or opposite as well and I am sure a presidnet as Obama is going to make that possible and beside there will be a lot new efforts a bout strenghten civil rights for any body whom lives in America!
Black oknow this well and most coloured ones knwoing this well and all others belonging to minorities in America knwoing that well....there is a hope toward better times in deed with Obama!
Time for a little education. Whites have problems as well.
My family in the '80s operated citrus groves in Central Florida. At one time a moderate size grove operation of 8000 trees. In 87 and then again in 89 we got hit with winter freezes. 1/3 of the tree died, another 1/3 were badly damaged. In other just like the people of New Orleans....we got hit with act of God.....that was near to breaking us.
It take 4-5 years for a small citrus tree to yield any amount of fruit...for it to grow large enough to do so. It is major investment of time and moneys to plant this number of trees. And a real business risk. We....the family...made a decision to continue in the operation. One summer I did 2200 holes in the ground by hand to plant trees in. Getting the drift? 14 hours day of hard back breaking work 6 day a week for 2 months.
We did not go to the gov't and ask for a hand out. We did not bail and quit. We did not go the local gov't and say it was your fault or blame the US gov't for what was an act of God and weather. We faced the situation and did what we had to.
I full realize that there are blacks and whites that when struck by a natural diasater....are left with nothing.....it is all gone. And do need
help from the gov't and locals to have them make it thru. But at least be thank ful that assistance was there to be given...even if it is to late, not enough or not to your tastes. When I hear a Rev Wright doing his thing.......that he thinks that the US gov't gave aid to the blacks....or is run by the KKK......
Think that he a black minister....speaking as he does......could build a
10000 square foot home with the KKK in charge of the gov't? It would be the fastest rejection stamp on a building permit in history. Rev Wright need to come to Florida and plant some citrus tree for a time and find out how his forefathers lived.
Near our property was an old shack built after the civil war for those in proverty......that is what they did.....plant trees.....day in and day out....till thier debt was paid off. They lived in a this shack that was maybe 300 square feet with no running water, no kitchen, no electricity...with a dirt floor. Maybe then Rev. Wright will know what this country has given to him and appreciate it. Maybe many blacks if they saw that building would appreciate what they own today as well.
Maybe even many whites would as well. Because that shack was for the whites that gone into debt during the war. Not the blacks.
