This thread get more mad each time i pop in and read it.
How on earth can people think the type of twaddle i see spouted in here defies logic.
Fact: Ask a Georgian when their belief in Russia giving them a fair deal will start.Historically this has never been the case, and Stalin use to question their commitment on a regular basis and then execute the military leaders to ensure control.
Georgian's were always put in harms way, as a matter of course to kill as many of them as possible.
I seem to remember an internationally famous politician being assassinated as well.
As for the Russians and Afghanistan, well i seem to remember them protecting their southern border, especially as their space industry isnt far over the border, along with some highly strategic military targets.
This logic is pretty much on par with the Cuban example of why America didn't want nuclear missiles just 90 miles from its shores. It's the same thing.
Also its a condition of joining NATO that a country rearm with compatible components that we as western countries supply.
An awful lot of the potential countries that want to get NATO membership cannot afford to do so, period. The cost is shall we say crippling for a developing economy.
It's far simpler to be a paid up member of the UN and settle all differences in the chamber, rather than let a small group of "turds" make a fortune and asset strip a country of its natural resources.
The World Bank does a fine job ensuring countries are crippled with debt.
Time for the blinkered ones to smell the coffee and keep their problems within their own borders and keep fair trade agreements with other parts of the globe.
Double standards don't sit right with me.And if you really believe arguing too and fro about the merits of one bought and paid for politician over another to justify your ideology is a complete waste of time.
Thats the point of circular arguments, their repetitive and a total waste of time.
But carry on, i'm sure you will.
