Seriously, the dems are doing most of this to themselves and even the DNC chairman has said as much. The party is on the brink of self destruction because the candidates and the party don't know when to say enough is enough. I suspect the dems are in a huddle now trying to get those superdelegates to commit now so that this contest can be ended before it's too late. Really, I hope they do so that the people have an opportunity to get behind one or the other and make this a fair deal in November.

In reality, it doesn't matter if it's Obama or Clinton in the race and given the fact that any President is limited to a large degree in what programs they can actually implement, it doesn't matter a whole hell of a lot which party has the Presidential seat. They are not going to be able to do much of what they have promised unless a particular party also controls the house and senate. My concern at this point is that we don't need people talking a lot of crap as to why the election wasn't fair, who's to blame, and/or another 4 - 8 years of people scratching their heads wondering how the hell a dumb ass criminal like (Obama, Clinton or McCain) got elected.

This is of course what the Republicans have been planning since the 2004 elections. Keep it just close enough, spreading republican votes among Obama and Clinton to keep both in teh race and split the party so they become incapable of winning. Funny on the surface and would indeed be a sad thing had the dems actually put someone in the running capable of leading.

The oath and the Constitutional article on Presidency limit what they can do.....and to what means they can do it. So if Obama is elected?
He is not going to attempt to fulfill the oath of office? Surely he will.
He is not going to be a commander in chief? Surely he will try to be one to the best of his abilities. He is not going act as Chief Administrator? Surely he will.

If elected and it turns out horrible. We have a recourse. To impeach him. Not likely to occur, considering that the Dems control Congress. And a good question here is this, Dude. If GBW was so horrible, why did the Dem not impeach him? :-) He is not as bad as the far left painted him....he does not have a impeachable offense to his
Presidency. That vote of Congress on Iraq took that away as a impeachable offense.

But there are things Obama might do, that even the Dems would have to say are impeachable. In the sense the oath of office and Constitutional powers that is more important than who the President is. Some examples of him being impeached:

Obama do away with the NSA wire tap program. I would say it is mistake to do so. But as President, it is his position and authority to do so. Of course, if the country then gets hit with a major 9/11 attack after he does it......well.....now you have a possible impeachable offense after an investigation of why he did not have those wire taps in place to defend the country. That he failed to defend the country, one of the responsiblities of the President in the Constitution and is an impeachable offense if he fails.

The several major pieces of homeland security, like the Patriot act, and NSA wire taps, and military doctrine change to pre emptive strikes on
terrorist organizations, are going to be very hard for Obama to remove even in office. He may not use them. But here again, have a
proven resources that defends the country...and not use them? Where does that take you? Take you right back to impeachable offenses, if an attack occurs.

I will give you another one. Say Iran makes a nuc and does a hand off to a terrorist organization. As President, he gets intelligence on this. And doesnot use pre emptive military strikes to stop the attack? You have a impeachable offense when that device is detonated.

So the counter terrorism pieces that have been develop under the GWB administration to defend the country, the next President gets a choice. To not use them, and then attacked, places him in a impeachable position. They are all smarter than that. So they will use the counter terrorism tools that have been developed.

All these counter terrorism tools have been approved by a Dem and Rep in Congress anyways. He would be shooting himself in the foot not to use them. Everything that has been developed by this Administration in counterterror operations...he will keep. Maybe change the department name....but guys like me that wrote them....and did the technology reports for them.... we know who really did this.

So whether McCain, Or Hillary....whom things are looking pretty dark for at present....or Obama....the voters of the country will select the one they want. Democracy and rule of law have been met. The obligations of the Constitution have been met. And I can retire.....so what do I care? I have been at since 1980 (as a soldier and gov't advisor). I have had some really neat wins and a few loses.

contact work with them to keep them in the decision loop on this.

Also one little last bit of info. Hillary just loaned her campaign another
$6.5m. Meaning that even if the money does not come in, she can funding it herself. The Clinton's has combined income over the last 10 years of $110m. She can afford to do this until the convention.

Sure ...what can I say? The amountof dammages president Bush,s way of govern the country and his way of mannaging the way things are done in other countries is resulted in a huge increase in threats a gainst America unfortunatily. Neither Obama not any other presidnet will be able to make all theses threats disapear from day one and it takes some years at least before dammages are repaired and the amount of threats a gainst your counry are decreased.

Because of this fact then of course Obama or any other president will have to keep some of the same methods in the begining and NSA wiretap program or Patritot act or change of military doctrine as you mention are not easy to take a way by the way and first the new president must make a totaly change of the way american foreign policy is taken care of and he or she must remove the main focus from getting oil ressources from Iraq toward fighting real terrorism in Afghanistan and in Pakistan and Iran and Sudan and other places as well.

The way the fight is dont so far has just created more enemies for western world and a lot of that should not be necessary at all I deeply beleive.

Before the occupation of Iraq there were not much resistance a gainst the war a gainst terrorism in Afghanistan and United nations and Nato to gether tried their best doing a great job over there......so it came Rape of poor Iraq by Bushney,s and then a huge amount of new threats rained over America and the rest of us as well.

For handling these new , self faulted threats there should be some radical changes in your country as Partiot act, or NSA wire tapping program or other measurs as those and the amount of freedom of americans them selves were devlined week after week and What I aks is of course Why on earth all these horrible declining of freedom should even accure any way? You dont go and heat and elephant until it gets angry and attack you! If you are a good elephant keeper you will know what that elephant needs and you will do your best to take care of it and thats it!

This is exactly like some american politicians begining to really threat and irritate China and Russia becuase they "think" they are afraid to beat back but that will be a stupied assumption in deed!

Obama or any body else wil have to keep the same in the begining but olittle by little and after american foreign policy will change and american way of fighting real terrorism will change then the need for all these tight programs for controlling all americans private lives will be removed and used a gain only if it is absoloutely neccesary.

No body can claim the Bushney,s have done America or the rest of western world a favor because of all their discoveries a bout how to take personal freedom from all of us little by little! Most of the reasons for giving so much should never ever exist in the first place!
