How do you see yourself?

Do you see a catwalk model when you look in the mirror or an umpalumpa from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

Are you happy about yourself?

If your not happy what have you tried to move forward on your path to your chosen goal.

We might find out diets that dont work, excersise plans that are great or pain therapy advice for people recovering from operations.

Hopefully we might find a few nuggets of info that will inspire people to transform their lives for the better, at least that's my hope.

Calanetics, pilates, yoga, did they work for you?

I look like Mrs Doubtfire, but I'm happy enough with that. I see loads of people my age with bits that dont work any more and 7 of my classmates are dead, so I figure I'm pretty lucky. I think I did the best I could with what I got.

The problem with excersise is its basically boring unless you do it with other people and then theres a few to continue going.

Thats why gyms sell memberships just before new year and people go for a month then quit, due to boredom, that and the creepy bloke in the corner that keeps playing with his grey flannel tracksuit bottoms in a dubious manner.

Why is there always a weirdo in the gym?

how I see myself.... just an average country boy out in the big world trying to make my mark.

yes I am happy with myself in my opinion the most important thing in life is to accept yourself for who you are and be happy with you if not you can never be happy in a relationship because no one but you will make you happy

Exercise is fun when you're doing sports with other people. I also do yoga and enjoy the quiet that it brings.

I think I have the reverse of anorexia. When I look in the mirror I see a pretty good bod for 50-something, never mind the scars from the busted hip. When I see pictures of me I think, OMG, what a huge ass!

Sadly, I think my modelling days are behind me now. I don't think I am too bad for my age but I have slipped terribly on the exercise thing.... just never enough time. I will be getting back into that any day (and, of course, one's metabolism changes as one gets older) but with healthy eating and a clever use of clothing, I think I pass...??
grin

pizza wine Oooops, slipped already..... bugger!!! D'oh!

Perfectly happy...although i weighed myself
last week and to my surprise i've put on
a couple of pounds over the winter.

Oh well, spring is here now and once i get
out on the rock, i'll soon lose that.

Dont think there's much i can do about the
wrinkles that are appearing though.
I like to think of it as 'the weathered' look.

I joined a gym, but left because it was too expensive! Joining a different one, this may. laugh

I'm not content with what i see in the mirror, there's too much evidence of pizza and chocolate muffins. sigh
