You are offended by Obama not saying he is white ( you say this, all the time), and i am not offended he doesn't say he is Kenyan. That's my point. We disagree, simple!

I'm just like you in that , i will state my thoughts, regardless of support.People here are just tooooooooooo sensitive.

again...a misquote!! I am not offended by O'Bama not saying he is white. Never did I say this....read again!

What I said is...I am offended by him not saying he is bi-racial.

He has the most perfect opportunity to bring the balck and white together. To put aside the B/W issue. But he choses not to. He declares himself one race when he is both.

Totally different from....***You are offended by Obama not saying he is white ( you say this, all the time),

Please...if you are going to respond to my statements, refer to them properly

Hi Riya, thank you. I do mean it, however, I think many people think that it is a name for myself, as in a signature, as opposed to a
state which I wish upon everyone. Perhaps they are unaware of its'
meaning.

You are such a wonderful soul yourself, always nice, wise and informed for such a young woman. Always a pleasure to read your responses. wine

Anyway the point of this I notice when we go out some people blatantly stare...( he is dark-skinned..well caramel to be exact as he is half Jamaican..and fine!)
I find their distasteful looks to be absurd in this day and age..I have dated a few men of other cultures and never really consider it a problem.
It got me to thinking about interracial relationships and the problems that arise with exogamy...what are your thoughts and do you consider it acceptable to both yourself and your extended family??

wow I cant believe you get this in dublin. Thats ridiculous were not in the dark ages anymore!!

oh my....I dont say I am bi-racial...or should I say tri-racial, most applications dont have that as an option....so, sometimes I say black, and at others I say other.....depends.

I'd much rather say American

I don't consider race to be about skin color. I personally believe that we are all of the same race.....the human race. I'm of mixed ethnicity myself, and I have yet to experience a problem. Things sould get better.

I've experienced more problems because of my physical situation (wheelchair) than with skin color. Even the wheelchair situation is getting better. Good Luck. I'm rooting for you.cheering thumbs up
