(I gained 10lbs in 12 days! in the USA) and THEN! when I lose enuff.. I'm going to give the pole dancing lessons a go.. laugh rolling eyes rolling eyes

Claayer has to be the heroic mother.

I raised mine alone, while I was married. He was gone 7 months out of the year, never paid attention to her. Two years after we divorced, he wanted her. She wanted time with her Dad. He had a good school and I agreed.

Pretty soon he was pissed, because she spent her week-ends with me. I had her for 13 years, 24/7. When he left, he never said a word to her. My 11 year-old was in my lap, pulling the hair at her forehead. She scratches, picks and pulls at her hairline, when she's stressed. Her dad was living with a woman and her child. The younger girl got her Dad's attention. That was the kicker. I would drive for hours for a swim meet, after work.

I waited 3 years to tell her how important it was for him to be liked. I'm a bitch, but I've always been loyal to my daughter and my husband's family. I made sure they saw her, even if he didn't speak. She had one year in college her father called her less than 10 times.

Being a single parent doesn't stop. Even when they're grown, they still need you. I'm not a very nice person, but I have a heart for my daughter and my ex mother-in-law.

i have 2 sons aged 11 & 4 who stay with me 2-3 days/nights per week. sundays in particular are usually a total nightmare. getting woken up by the kids jumping up and down on my bed demanding breakfast.....making breakfast for them (once they've finally decided what they want) then washing up followed by a quick clean around the house. today, since the weather was nice i decide to take them out for the day. once we got back it was a quick cup of tea then onto preparing tea (followed by more washing up). then it was onto bath time - while i cleaned up their newly laid mess and put their school uniforms in the wash. put them down to bed after 9pm, ANOTHER quick tidy, washed some stuff they'd left out and then it was onto ironing their school stuff and sorting out the rest of their clothes and putting them away - and that's before i even get started with my OWN stuff. a pretty exhausting day in anyone's book i reckon. as i said, i only have them 2-3 days per week so i take my hat off to you guys who do this 24/7. u all deserve a bloody medal!!!

Keep it up bro....I know what it's like although i only have 1 son. If i could i would do it 24/7 but things didn't turn my way. All i say is enjoy it while it lasts...i know that one day he will have his life to live and it wouldn't be so often to see him..........wave

A mother/father is not a person to lean on but a person to make leaning unnecessary.

My children cause me the most exquisite suffering of which I have any experience. It is the suffering of ambivalence: the murderous alternation between bitter resentment and raw-edged nerves, and blissful gratification and tenderness. Sometimes I seem to myself, in my feelings toward these tiny guiltless beings, a monster of selfishness and intolerance.
