I watched Hitch the other day and it made claim that a woman says things to politely brush men off. It was then said that if a woman says these things they are saying 'get away' or 'try harder.' How is a guy to tell the difference between the two? Doesn't this ploy encourage guys to not take 'no' for an answer?

It would help if we knew what "these things" a woman says are.

When I want a man to get away I usually say nothing. If I want one to try harder I smile and flirt a little more. What's so hard about that?

Don't believe everything you read hun. All these games just make things complicated when it's really simple.
