I haven't had a problem with people looking the way they say they do or looking the way they do in their pictures. Now.... personality...... that's a different story.

A garden gnome, geesh now I've heard it all. what is it with the ladies five foot 2 wanting a guy six foot? Hell your face will be in his chest in certain situations, did I really say that???

Super market, i meet so many attractive ladies and danged if I can't go up and start chatting although i did have a nice visit with a lady showing her how to pick out sweet corn but damned if I didn't get her number. I sa her again a few aisles over bending over and she had a nice tatoo on her cheeks, dummy me.

I hate the height lie myself...I am about 5'8 to 10...I prefer a man taller and have met some that say tall and then end up very short...I rock up in killer heels and feel like a giant

Amen to that!
I am 5'9 and love high heels!rolling eyes
Cancun's height average is 5'8 , 5'9( i am talking people living here) ; when going to a club,I am one head above people around me....

I met a lady from this site. Her photos had to be several years old from before she packed on that extra 50# and started growing the wart!

I'm here for the forums and making internet friends....internet dating is tricky....especially when women put up photos from 5 years ago....then when you meet them, there is a gap of reality.....

men do it too. I have actually met a few who were 5 - 10 years younger in their pics then they were in person. Some it is obvious when they have a pic up of when they were in their twenties and their profile states 45.

that just doesn't make sense to me. If they are seriously looking and they are thinking they might meet soemone in person one day. Why in the fark do that. They surely must feel like fools.

Keep it real I say.

Oh, I meant the private pics that were exchanged. Not the pics on the profile page.

I have came across a lot of people who need to take a good look at themselves. 'A few extra pounds' does NOT mean 300+, I'm not a tall woman, only 5'6" and when the guy says he's 5'9"+ and we meet and he's my hieght and 300 pounds, it's very discouraging.
What I don't understand is if you plan on actually meeting someone, why lie? I asked one guy who showed up and was at least 350 why he lied about what he was and he said because he thought after we met and got to know each other that I would look over his weight and he was scared that I wouldn't meet him if he had told me his real weight. Well, I told him, you got me there. I wouldn't have. yawn

I have met no one from this site, but I have met a person (we are really good friends now) from another site, he didnt lie about anything and looked better than his pictures (he models, and runs his own business) he actually said the same about me...He said, "you look like your pictures, but they dont show all the other cute features you have like your facial expressions when I tell you a corny joke, or when the wine was a bit too bitter for your taste, and how you are blushing right now...... I am so lucky to see the real thing...." (awwww)

that was so super sweet. especially coming from him, he loves women with very long hair, so I figured I wouldnt be his type, but we met because we had so much in common, and we were both pleased.

He is the sweetest person ever....

So, I encourage anyone who is considering meeting someone, to chat online for a sec, be honest with your pictures and everything else, and, go for it! Even if they end up being just your friend (for now), I think its worth it!wave

haha, just really good friends. We didnt date for a long time, it was nothing too serious, he is not from the US, (I tend to attract lots of those), but he came here to see me I'd say 3-4x a month for a few days each visit. It was pretty nice. But, he wanted to get a bit deep, wanting me to be his "girlfriend". And, I thought about it, but I didnt see how it would work, when my prior relationship ended because of the distance between us. So, I figured, we should play it safe.... and just be friends....He is dating this girl there, and wants to end it, its so funny talking with him about it, he is so nice, he doesnt want to hurt her feelings, and he enjoys the "sexy time", but, she's dumb (thats what he said), and he doesnt like the "air heads".
