I taught mine by always answering whatever they asked at whatever age.. (from TINY)... in ways I thought was appropriate for them at the time.

I'm very proud of how clued up my kids are.

Totally agree with you Claire!! wave WHEN they ask, they are ready to hear the answer in a way appropriate to their age ...
If not sure what's appropriate to age do internet search or get a few books grin

I agree 100% in answering their questions when they ask in a manner that they can understand for their particular age. With today's society being soooo sexually oriented and kids being "active" at younger and younger ages, we can leave NOTHING to chance.

i have taught them earlier then stated on here...I always taught them to ask no matter what the question was...i would always answer them honestly..so far so good with my nearly 18 year old(virgin),..he will kill me for this if he read it..grin
