Do you think being an only child, makes you shy.?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, does having brothers and sisters make it easier to talk to people?

If you have brothers/sisters, are you 1st born, 2nd born, 3rd born, etc. and how has that affected you??

I have 1 younger brother & he is the shy one, whereas I am the more aggressive one.

Hi lass, wave I have a step sister who is 10 yrs older than me and i did feel lonely as a child, i was really quiet and found it hard to mix, we also lived ina very isolated area so the only time i saw other children was at school . Think i was the only child who loved it when i was sent to bording school at the age of 10yrs i actually dreaded the school holidays.

I am the oldest of 9 children. I have 3 sisters and 5 brothers. I found that you get more responsibility as an older sibling. Both of my parents worked, so I helped raise all my younger siblings. None of my family are shy. All of them are outgoing and sociable. I might be more opinionated that my siblings though, and see possible dangers more quickly than them, because I had to do that as a child.

I have 3 brothers, two older, one younger, 2 sisters which I am between (gee, that doesn't read well ). Childhood was frustrating. Older boys used to beat the crap out of me and I again would face the music if I touched the younger one. So I hung out with the sisters mostly. Funnt though, only stay in contact with 2 older bros confused

This is an interesting question because of my dysfunctional family...LOL

I have one brother and one sister from both parents. The brother is now dead.

Then there is the extended brothers and sisters. Wife #1 1 son wife #2..1 son wife #4...2 sons and a daughter,

Then there is my mother...husband #2 1son....Husband # 3 2 daughters

Then there is the fact that I was raised in foster care...so there are about a million other foster brothers.

Of all these, I am only in contact with my younger Sister, Diane. BTW...I am, at 57, the oldest living member of my family

I have 2 siblings...a sister and brother..both younger (alot), but there's a big age gap, so its more like I'm an only child..LOL

not sure on the confidence things, but it made me a great babysitter and a better mom..cuz of them..grin

sometimes those are the best lessons. My foster parents taught me much of my values the same way. I just do the opposite of what they didthumbs up
