Do we want/expect too much???!

I just finished reading a profile that really cracked me up (Will remain nameless...), for a start this person didn't have a photo. He, however, was very specific about what he wanted and expected from a woman: she had to be good in bed; have no "moods"; no contact with ex; not be lazy; be reasonable looking!!! I wish him luck should he find such a love-slave...
One time I swapped numbers with a guy I'd been messaging for a while who seemed nice, a bit in-articulate maybe but that didn't worry me. On his profile he said he didn't drink. Well, he phoned me rather late and was obviously quite sloshed.
O.K. I thought, lets just see how it goes. His first question was "Can ya cook?" (yes), his next was "What colour is your hair?" (brown with some grey creeping in), "Ah well," he says, "I s'pose you can always dye it!" I chatted to him for about an hour, mostly because I was highly amused. It MAY have been my imagination, but I'm pretty sure he took a leak while we were talking!
I have a few other interesting stories, I'm thinking of making a book, lol.
Anyone else got any???dancing elephant

And men think women are high maintenance? I've yet to ask a man to cook for me.

He should offer willingly!

Our perceptions of ourselves are not always how others see us. Some details on profiles may be what we believe to be a reflection of ourselves others might disagree.

Sorry, I'm not particularly fond of water. I have to flavor it with a few drops of lemon juice. Do you think lemon juice will cover the burnt taste? grin

So very true in an existentialistic sense. Perception is everything, and sometimes we just cannot change that...how others see us...

I just read one that is contradicting.

"My match would be a fit, attractive...etc."

And then it is followed by:

"I hope you would understand the meaning of unconditional love."

By clearly stating, "fit, attractive" means this person has conditions to his match. This person surely does not understand the meaning of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

I think there is often alot of junk written in profiles by people who are confused about who they are and what they want. Thankfully, if they contribue to forums for long enough, it sorts a lot of that out for people. Unrealistic expectations will always cause disappointment.

you know....I expect very little for a woman.

Only that she be honest..politically ultra left.....a few extra pounds...and like Bob Dylan. Is this asking too much?? The first one...honesty seems to be the hardest thing to find. Oh, yeah...finding a woman that likes Bob Dylan ain't easy, eitherrolling on the floor laughing

I had a friend (girl ) write my about me. I had a hard time trying to figure out what to say. Sometimes what we think about ourselves is not what others perceive. I was happy to see what she wrote.
I did however write what I was looking for. Only I know that.
I added the stuff about the house work. I like 50 % of relationship. And yes, I do expect a lot
