I just wanted him to be the true person "I Believed" he could be.
He just didn't want to be controlled. I learned to understand him,
then I learned to let him go. Because it doesn't matter how much
you want to beleive or change a person if they don't want the same
it's not going to happen. I could have stayed forever accepting his abuse. Because the truth is, I thought I had some special power to control and change him (delusional manipulation) and he was controlling me. I learned that love isn't possessing. But we are free to learn, and change and grow as individuals and in love. I think we all need the freedom to be who we are and accepted and loved for who and where we are. Because my new motto is....Take me as I am or leave me as I was.
