Multicultural festival soon..
Bachelor and spinster balls that translate to a bunch of people getting drunk and having sex..
Birdsville horse race..a small ghost town in the middle of nowhere becomes over run with thousands of drunks to watch one horse race...the town is literraly covered in beer cans the next day..
Rugby league events are possibly the favourite..( I hate them! I only like soccer..the real football)

Oh and I forgot the Crocodile Hunters' tourist zoo down the road usually has events on every weekend...It has become a multi million dollar industry since the passing of Steve Irwin..
