Hi all out there and beyond.I have got a few hours to kill so I start this new thread.I met someone once who kept sending me 12 year old pics, where that particular lady looked absolutely fabulous. We started dating and it came to a face to face meeting.I walked past right past her since I didn"t recognize the person.laugh Quite confused would be the right phrase describing my state of mind then.

Did anything like that happen to any of you ? confused
I understand the desire of both men and women to look the best but misrepresenting yourself borders on stupidity since if the relationship moves forward the truth will come out.

I am up for a good laugh or even just a harmless snicker. If you have a good story to share make this a funny thread.

Not the age but height...I met him in a bar and even though he was perched on a stool I could tell straight away he was shorter than my 5'8...He jumped down to shake hands and I swear he resembled an escapee garden gnome..I was shocked but he appeared not to notice I was looking down on his bald patch all night...I could even tell you the number of dandruff flakes..I swear never again!!!!

women I have met on dating sites have been pretty honest about looks and age. In fact, one I had a date with was even more beautiful in person than her picture.

However, a lady that I met locally has lied about her age, which put a crack in our relationship, that has now ended.

Ha, ha--it's kinda funny. I've had only two face to face meeting with guys I met on-line. To my relief, they recognized me right away, and I them. How stupid to post and send photos that don't look like you--unless you never plan to meet!

My buddies fixed me up on a blind date once..
I spoke to the man briefly on the phone before we met for dinner.. he described himself to me so that I could recognise him. He said he was 5'10.

I too walked past him.. hahaha

5'10 my arse!..

I'm 5'6 5'7 (not sure).. and he was shorter than ME!

I find some people are more photogenic than others. One guy looked better in his photo's than in real life. And yes they were recent.

I dunno how I look as others see me in RL.. but I know I'm not very photogenic.

they are the bonus ones...

I don't get turned away straight up if slightly disappointed...I like to have a conversation and give them the opportunity to express themselves but an obvious lie is a turn off...

True story...My friend dated a 'woman' for some time...one night on the settee they were getting fresh and he had a feel..imagine his surprise when he felt a penis...The 'shemale' was disgusted in HIM that he felt betrayed...

Thankfully i'm the same, in reverse! The pics i have make me look like shit! So when anyone actually meets me they are surprised i'm actually quite normal and i don't have a cats arse in my face.

I am recognisable from my pics, it is me but someow dressed up in nice clothes without a cat and a smirk its amazing how people can look different.

When i went to Dublin one person in particular was quite amazed how different i looked! Mind you i looked like crap there too, something to do with a green fleece hat and walking around in the pissing rain all the timerolling on the floor laughing
