I think I can give you some good advice. First, it would pay you to unload that minivan for a small car that gets better milage. Failing that, you should make a concerted effort to get some of the kids at school to car pool with you. Even 1 other person will cut your fuel costs in HALF! If you can get 3 people it would be like paying a dollar a gallon for fuel. That's called turning a deficit into an asset.
