Restless leg syndrome

Posted: May 5, 2008, 7:02 PM CST
I had been suffering with this for almost 2 years, everything with prescription was too strong and had bad side effects. Tried Quinine tablets from the GNC health store and it works. Tonic water does not contain enought quinine to be effective. Get the tablets.professor

Yes, it is similar to a "Charlie Horse" or muscle cramping that is constant and frequent. It is most noticeable at night when you are trying to relax. The muscles will spasm to the point where you have to get up and walk (or drink alot of tequila)pouring a drink For some people it is night after night as in my case. That Requip stuff was wicked for me. Felt woozy and hung over, sweaty and fatiqued. Finally an old fashioned Doctor told me about the tablets.
Ms Kitty, I hope you never get it. hug

I was asking as I have always had terrible muscle cramps in the night, where I have to get up and put my leg on a cold floor to get it to relax. When I was a child my toes used to cruel backwards at night and my mom would rub them for hours. My daughter gets leg cramps all the time too, do not know if it is just "Charlie Horses" or now Restless leg syndrome. Now my grandaughter who is turning 3 wakes up at night screaming about her leg.

What you describe sounds similar. My toes would cramp so bad they hurt, I would walk around the floor for a time and as soon as I lay back down it would start again. Then it was one leg below the knee in the back calf. The stuff at the vitamen store is called f"leg cramps" in a red box in Florida. The doctor that told me about it said after awhile I will not need it. Google the info on line, you can order it from the GNC stores. See if it works for you and your daughter. You have to take it every 4 hours at night. I am down to once now when I first go to bed. Good luck to you. Let me know how you make out.comfort

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia several years ago. Part of my symptoms are RLS. I've tried several Rx's, and some OTC...None had much impact, until I tried Requip. It's worked -very- well on me. I don't seem to have had any bad side effects...yet...hopefully, I won't...but in case I do, I think I'll keep the quinine tabs. in mind...Thanks for the info!!

You need Doloneurobion - vitamin & mineral based pain killer; it works well for both muscular and joint pain, and it's a vitamin too wink you can thank me later laugh
