GOOD GRIEF !!

I hope its really not true. But why ??

It is indeed a big business in the West, advertising 'Asian' women for Western men--mostly from Philippines, also possibly from Thailand, Oriental countries that are very poor. Does not apply to China or Japan as far as I know. There are sites all over the internet too, and advertisements in magazines and newspapers in the West. The Philippines is a very poor country...these women are looking for a better life--you can't fault them for this. The Western men have not successfully found Western wives--I don't paint them all with the same brush...but I believe most are hoping to find a woman who accepts them without question because they can offer the easier Western life.

I don't want to paint everyone with the same brush. But I do think some Western men think an 'Asian' wife will be less difficult for whatever reasons....My friends who are French Vietnamese or Japanese American are of course offended by the idea that a Western man is interested in them simply because they are Asian...this of course means the man has preconceived notions about what she will be like...and, as you say, every one is an individual....so it is very offensive to group everyone together. Which is the main point I was trying to make in my original post, and obviously didn't do very well.

Some, hopefully extreme cases, when a women is brought to America and does not 'behave' as expected end in violence, and very extreme, murder. In many, many cases it ends in divorce and the American man is then very angry that he was 'duped' into bringing a women to America to marry him and she was not the 'product' he was expecting.

This is a negative view, I know...it's what I've read about in magazines and newspapers...

on the positive side,,,and I have been to Manilla and other islands in the Philippines and met both wealthy and poor people there. Many,, very many happy couples are married that are US and pinoy. I know couples that have decided to live in the states and also couples that decided to live in the Philippines. So for someone that is curious about this there are many successful Mariages that exsist. I will also say it is very smart to learn about the customs and know what will be expected from you.
so thats my 2 cents....for now.

I have known many people good, bad, domestic and foreign. There are good and bad in all cultures and races. Many to most women here have lost their grace, their feminity, charm, their natural affection and have replaced it with sexy brash haughtiness. It is mainly because of materialism and power. In other countries where life is a slower pace and family far outweights things, there are loving, caring, and gracious women because their grace is their glory, their family their love.

The sweet flowers of womanhood have been replaced with gaudy gilded day lilies that look pretty from afar but loose their delicate look up close and are fill with a punghent order instead of a sweet fragrance of a loving heart.

And how they do fight to remain the same and not return to the glory of womanhood. A woman can have equal rights and remain the rose of a man's heart. But the flowers have lost their bloom and are now clad with false petals and shame themselves in the foolish thinking they are the better for it.

There are a few here with a sweetness of women and fewer with the sweetness and grace of being woman in all her glory!

Hate me if it pleases or consider my words.........good men are looking for good women to love and respect. But will never claim ones that meerly think they are good women in their own eyes.

It is also time for men to be men and be worthy of such women. Hear the GOOD women, they deep down want to be loved and cherish with the respectful caring by a MAN who is able to protect, provide, guide and stand side by side with her to the end without ever doubting him.

Men be men, women be women.....Life is not things, it is the family and children going forth with wise instrution from wise parents. All else is vanity and foolishness in comparison.

We do stumble often and get up and continue as it nothing happened!
