I have to agree with this. Even if they say they're fine being friends, it usually ends up that one night they'll try to push the envelope. This is JMO.

Yes, I have many female friends that I spend time with. Just friends and no hanky panky. Good friendships I must admit.

I would say it's never been an issue of anyone not being respectful or 'trying' anything or making me uncomfortable...it's just they let me know they wanted more. Nice guys, but it ruins the friendship because I am not comfortable with the situation.

I always thought it is completely impossible. If I have a friend it means I like what he says or does or believes, etc. Generaly I have some positive feellings about him and most probably vice versa. So if he would happen to be a woman, there's no way genetic gravity won't work professor ...

Ofcourse we can settle rules and manage our behaviors, but the tension is there...

Hey Cris...hug

Yes I have best male friends and the boundary is clearly defined on both sides of the fence..yet we share a close platonic relationship that includes emotional support and just plain holding each other up during drink fests...

All those men? I didn't say all those men... Just my experience is that someone I'm not attracted to but like and just want to be friends, it has always been that they actually were hoping for more. Why is that a problem I'm creating? I don't mean acquaintances, but people you want to hang out with and be good friends with.
