Being a rather small community here makes it difficult..she is in the local hospital where I work...

Is there a remedy where the state can demand recompense from the woman's family to pay for her care?

it's not a question of money, it is forced to be that way....the person chose to walk in the darkness, let them go with God's speed then.....either way the taxpayers will be paying for her in jail or in the hospital....take her off of life support and have a higher power decide her fate.

a local issue here...
A woman covicted ten years ago of a horrendous crime in which she helped her husband rape, torture and strangle while filming a ten year old school girl...
She is now on life support...
Should tax payers be resposible to keep her alive..
Is she entitled to the health system as much as the next person?
Remember this is a democratic country and no capital punishment exists..Try to answer without emotions...difficult isn't it???

This is a difficult one... Honestly,I would say she has a right to life support after all she is a human being no matter what her crimes. On the other hand..... confused
