well thats how I make spaghetti when I'm cheating and need to make it FAST.

I never break up the spaghetti noodles, I use a fork and spoon to twirl up the long noodles...and I use cooked ground meat in the sauce-for my family. I don't eat ground meat, so I cook mine seperately.

Or.. a bit longer...

fry chopped onions.. some garlic.. ground beef.

chuck in a can of tomatoes.. throw in some sweeeet baby toms and a handful of sun dried tommies... a squirt of tomato puree.. and a handful of chopped celery.

fling in some sliced mushrooms.. scatter in some basil and oregano.. let it bubble about a while.. and plonk it on the spaghetti.

Oh.. with a beeeeeg handful of grated reeeeeally strong (sharp) cheddar. .. and loads of fresh crusty bread.


Gawwwd.. I'm hungry now.

O.K. then, Miss Smartie Pants!! So why is there a spaghetti farm close by??? HUH????

I never break the pasta and if I have enough time (like all day), I slow cook a roast to add to my sauce. If i don't have all day to make it I use spicy Italian sausage.

Kitty, I am much like you. When I make spaghetti, I break the noodles for the boys. But if it's for me, I don't. I also can't eat hamburger. But for my boys, I either throw in the meat, or make their favorite-BBQ Meatballs. Lets not forget a side salad and garlic bread.

I always break the pasta...macaroni is a real pain though....

After I went to all the trouble of making spaghetti, my daughter brought home pizza for supper. I put it in the frig for tomorrow. Day old spaghetti takes better anyway.

Right on!! In South Philly, (little Italy). we have pasta police. If they find you do not twirl your pasta...you are banished to New Jersey where you have to deal with Tony Soprano

I like it the way it comes. Long, twirl it, suck on it and the mess it makes all over your face. The only way to enjoy it.

If you don't add oil to the water you're boiling it in the sauce is more well absorbed by the pasta.
