Heres a few that are in that same style some are better than others IMO

Eragon.. was alright will see what they do with the next one Eldest
Willow.. Older but a good movie
Kull.. Not a bad show
Legend.. another old one with Tom Cruise
Dugens and Dragon... First was ok second was cheesey

All I can think of at the moment but none of these hold water to Lord of the Rings

A couple Porno versions

Dream Quest
Whorecraft
Lady of the Rings

Like Serenity wave I've read the LOTR trilogy aswell as the Hobbit, of course and the Silmarrillion, The Lost Road and other stories from the second? age.
I don't think any book I've read up till now has made me weep as much and even go to sleep and dream of it...
Amazing Tolkien refused the idea of it as an analogy..... I think it is one of the most touching analogies of the spirit of man, good and bad, ever written....

I have all three extended versions of the films and thought Peter Jackson did justice overall to the spirit of the books.

What about the "Earthsea" trilogy and movie.
Doesn't hold a candle to Lord of the Rings, of course, but then what does.....?

Hi Breeze
Unfortunatelly i have only read the Hobbit so far so I can't hold a candle talking about the books. Not just these 3 films were fantastic but the Special Features as well like the Beta Work Shop,The Miniature Department.ETC.So far to my knowledge wasn't ever so much effort and hard work spent on any movie. It's just amazing how they built a smaller scale miniature city from ground zero.
I draw my hat to Peter Jackson.A true Master of Film makingwave
