I might consider it if this person were someone I felt I could/would come to love, both as a partner and lover. I would consider thinking about it, that is, talking about it, spending more time together, seeing where things went.....I wouldn't reject the idea right off the bat. Who knows where love comes from...

Maybe what she's really saying is "why don't you get your A$$ in gear and lets get busy"?
Ya know women like sex too.

Did I come on too strong?

Seriously though maybe this is her way of telling you she would like a little physical contact.

I suppose its a commitment to each other and self in moving together to a closer being

Yes, that's sort of what I meant---but also believe love grows and being in love/infatuated/or in lust is what most people have before they get married, whereas, like in an arranged marriage, like can become love, a more enduring love, and sexual attraction for the other grows out of that. I've experienced this, not the arranged marriage, but the other.
