My C-drive tart was all blue
no pink left,
not even a slice!

I dont have that many programs
but I needed to throw some overboard

and now I have no sound

Reboot your pc and when it starts up press F8.go on the last working function or something like that and klick enter.To move it to last working function use the up and down arrows on your keypad.Hope that helps.

you need to defragment every couple of weeks - but system restore undoes any mistakes you may possibly have made, it is different

Let me be sure what You are talking about, If you are saying what I think you are then others are off track here...

Are you saying that your hard drive is completely full?
if so, how big is your hard drive?

also.. other than programs, Do you have any or many video files saved on your hard drive?

I wouldn't tell someone wrong, I love this computer stuff

ahhh, if Ras is right then I have a bit of a temp solution but you may ultimately have to buy some RAM to solve this - there is a prog, freely available from 'filehippo' called 'CCleaner' - that cleans up lots of rubbish on youur hard drive

If the hard drive is full, all you can do, or need to do, is to remove as much from the hard drive as you can,
save what you want - to cd's, delete what you really don't need or use anymore.
or.
If you have a small hard drive, you can get a slave drive added to your system pretty cheap. ( slave drive is just another hard drive added)
You can even get an external hard drive real cheap- just plug it into your computer.

Then save all old non- program files to the slave drive.

if the hard drive is full... MORE RAM will NOT help.

When the hard drive is full, many programs will stop working right and some will Freeze.

I rebooted and the F8-thingy and it wanted to search
on its own...
I let it.
It found nothing.
It wanted the original CD
which came with the lap-machine.

It would take ages to find it.

But I will search for it if the suffering is getting for much for me...
